Concept to Jewellery Creation
Old Unworn Jewellery
Old, out of fashion jewellery you thought you would wear forever but didn’t. Gifts from people who aren’t as close as they once were. Sentimental family heirlooms that just aren’t your style. Whatever the reason, we all have it, or we did until we created something totally new from remodelled jewellery. This local Kiama client had a collection of 18ct Jewellery she no longer wore and an idea of ring creation she would cherish.
Jewellery Design
Together, we sat at Sara Handmade Jewellery over a consultation and went through what we could do with the diamonds we had. The concept, offset the diamonds in a wider band. Some swirls would be hand engraved giving the ring the feeling of a wave. To help the the ring stand up to every day use we would bezel set the diamonds for extra protection. The bezel’s were white gold in the yellow gold setting. This helped the diamond’s stand out more and gave the ring an extra shine.
Old Jewellery to New
Here you will see the completed ‘Wave Ring’ as it has come to be known. Although no two projects (or clients) are the same we hope you enjoyed seeing this creation. The aim of this blog is to share some client stories and give some insight into the process of custom jewellery design and remodelling jewellery into a new piece. If you have any questions about how you can get started making your own new piece of jewellery get in touch on the contact page on our website.
