Jewellery Design
Jewellery design is the start of the process when creating a piece of jewellery from scratch with the help of a designer and jeweller. After coming up with a concept we sketch out the idea on paper, size you (if it’s a ring or bangle) and source any required gemstones. We can make gemstones available for a viewing, making it easier to visualise your new piece. Different settings, bands, sizes as well as hardness of gems all come in to play. We will help educate you on the journey so your choices are informed and practical depending where and when you want to wear your piece. Whether it’s a statement or engagement ring, earrings, pendants or a bangle, our experienced team will guide you and make the creating a custom piece of jewellery effortless.
Bespoke Jewellery
Bespoke jewellery refers to jewellery made especially for someone to suit their specifications, needs or desires. A bespoke piece of jewellery has a lot of benefits compared to buying direct from a retailer. It’s unique, hasn’t been owned or worn before and you have had direct input into its design. It’s romantic and whether it’s for an engagement or just a special gift, there is something a little bit extra special about creating a piece from scratch. A Bolivian Ametrine cocktail ring that reminds us of a sunset. This is a designer cut Ametrine and is just over 10 ct in size.
Aquamarine and diamond studs set in white gold. These beautiful aquamarines were custom cut for this client.
A birthday present from husband to wife. This pear shaped Australian sapphire is claw set and features a diamond tiara.
A beautiful pear shaped Burmese spinel that was bezel set in 18 gold and platinum.
A customer brought in her existing aquamarine and together we designed this lovely ring. Two 0.25 ct pear shaped diamonds also feature in this white gold setting.
The winner of our first ever Facebook promotion used her prize to have this stunning ring custom made. Using her grandmother's Ceylon Sapphire we added a carat of emerald cut diamonds and set it in platinum.
This was our first 'Borders Open' present. A stunning pendant was gifted from mother to daughter featuring an Australian sapphire and diamond.
These were family heirloom remodels to her grandsons. The sentimental pieces of onyx were inlaid in to these yellow gold signet style settings.
These were custom made after seeing the amazing tanzanite earrings in the store window. This client preferred yellow gold and a smaller round tanzanite as the feature.
