Sara Handmade Jewellery is a project that was born from love. We have a passion for gemstones, creation and our on the South Coast.
For someone creative who is looking for inspiration, there is no better place than Kiama. The natural beauty in both the gemstones we work with, and our surrounding area, never ceases to amaze us.
The bespoke jewellery we make is our small way of encapsulating what this means to us and sharing it with you.
A Foray into the World of Gems
Sara’s foray in the world of gems began with a job in retail at a jewellery store in Sydney. It ignited a passion she couldn’t put out, she then went on to study Gemmology with the Gemmological Association of Australia. While studying, Sara worked for a coloured gem wholesaler and a pearl merchant shortly after.
An Eye for Detail
We have an eye for detail, a talent for sourcing amazing gems and a gift for turning them into unique pieces of jewellery. A Gemmologist by trade, Sara knows how and where to find the most lustrous, unique gemstones.
Sara can help you redesign your existing jewellery using the gemstones and material you already have in your collection.

Amazing Gemstones and the Finest Materials
We use GIA certified larger diamonds in our custom makes. Beautiful Australian and Sri Lankan sapphires, pigeon blood Burmese rubies, Nigerian tourmalines in almost any colour imaginable and many other gems are available from our collection or ordered in on request. We source the gemstones on a project-by-project basis ensuring you get the perfect gem your jewellery requires.
Only the finest materials are used to complement our exquisite designs. Rose, yellow or white gold available in 9 and 18 carat, platinum or premium silver will make your piece last for eternity.
Helping Your Jewellery Sparkle
Our store is situated at the ‘West End’ of Terralong Street in the seaside town of Kiama. Our customers want only the best and come to us from Sydney, the Southern Highlands and across the South Coast to ensure they get it. Appointments for bespoke work are recommended and ensure all of our attention is on you when you are instore. After hours bookings can be made for your convenience, we can also chat remotely via phone or video link.

No, you can drop in and see us anytime. Appointments are recommended for design consultations as we can dedicate all our attention to you and your project.

Yes. For your convenience we are open Saturdays 10am to 3pm and Sundays 10am to 1pm. After hours appointments are also available on request.
