Sara Handmade Jewellery is the South Coast NSW's dedicated bespoke engagement ring studio — designed and handcrafted in Kiama by a qualified gemmologist with over twenty years of experience. Couples from Wollongong, Berry, Gerringong, Nowra, the Southern Highlands, Sydney, and Canberra come to us when they want something genuinely one of a kind.
Our process is collaborative, deeply personal, and focused on exceptional quality. You work directly with Sara at every stage — from gemstone selection through to the finished ring. Every decision is yours, every detail is considered. The result is a ring you will wear every day for the rest of your life — and want to.

Every solitaire is designed around the stone: the profile, the claw style, the band width, all considered together to produce something that will never date.

We source GIA-certified diamonds and guide you through the Four Cs - so you make a confident, informed decision that you will never second-guess. Every question is welcome, and our advice is always honest and tailored to your needs.
The most important C. Cut determines sparkle and brilliance - how the stone interacts with light. A well-cut diamond of modest carat weight will outshine a poorly-cut stone twice its size.
From colourless (D) to light yellow (Z). For most mainstream retail jewellery stores, G–H is the standard for natural diamond engagement rings. Unless instructed, we source D-F coloured diamonds for our bespoke Engagement Rings - colourless, beautiful, and visually superior.
Inclusions are natural characteristics of every diamond. VS1–VS2 and SI1 grades offer excellent clarity at excellent value - inclusions invisible to the naked eye.
Size matters - but in context with the other Cs. A 0.9ct well-cut D/VS1 stone often looks more beautiful than a 1.2ct stone of lower cut and colour. We help you find the right balance.

Your ring is lovingly crafted by skilled artisans - with care, precision and attention to detail. Most engagement rings are completed within 4–8 weeks, with progress updates throughout.

Our studio is at 2/130 Terralong Street, Kiama NSW, open Tuesday to Saturday. We welcome clients in person for consultations and gemstone viewings, and offer video consultations via FaceTime, WhatsApp or Zoom for those travelling from further afield.
