All diamonds we deal in are GIA certified and we can find the perfect diamond for you. Whether you are looking for a diamond for your engagement ring, an anniversary gift or to replace a damaged or missing stone in need of a jewellery repair, we can help you.
Coloured gems are our specialty and we can find something for you in any size, shape or colour. Sapphires, Rubies, Emeralds, Tourmalines and Tanzanite are just some of the many gems you will find at our Sara Handmade Jewellery store. All other precious and semi-precious gems can be sourced on request with viewings available during appointments.
What are the rarest gems?
Gemstones are often used to reflect a persons status and therefore the rarer it is, the more desirable it can be. When we think about precious stones it is often diamonds, emerald, rubies and sapphire that pop into our mind. There are actually around 200 naturally occuring gemstones with some being so rare that their value outstrips many of the world’s precious gems. Pariba Tourmaline, Alexandrite which can shift colour, Black Opal as well as Tanzanite which is only found in Tanzania are just some of those that make up the top 10 rarest gemstones in the world.
